About Leanna Walker, Founder
Leanna Walker brings over 25 years of experience designing and facilitating transformative learning experiences across K-12, higher education, federal programs, and nonprofit sectors. As Director of Academic Affairs at the University of the Incarnate Word, she led the development of 15+ online programs, built scalable LMS infrastructure supporting 500+ courses, and served as Accreditation Lead, ensuring institutional compliance while centering student success.
Her work has spanned contexts from refugee resettlement education with BCFS Health & Human Services to strategic planning at Northside Independent School District, where she led professional development for 65+ faculty serving 1,200+ students. She has facilitated over 100 workshops, strategic planning sessions, and faculty retreats, consistently creating environments where diverse stakeholders move from dialogue to action.
Leanna is a current D.A. candidate, and holds an Ed.S. ABD in Education Technology and Online Learning from Northcentral University and an M.Ed. in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. A certified meditation instructor (RYT-500), she brings contemplative practices into her facilitation work, creating psychologically safe spaces for rigorous inquiry and innovative thinking.
As the volunteer Communications Coordinator for Land of Joy Retreat Centre in the UK, she continues to bridge educational design and mission-driven work across international contexts. She also serves as Lead Copywriter and Editor for Editor’s Edge, a boutique creative agency in her spare time.
Why “Threshold”?
A threshold is a liminal space, the doorway between where you are and where you’re going. It’s the moment of possibility, the crossing point into something new. We chose this name because our work is about guiding organizations through significant transitions: from vision to launched program, from compliance to excellence, from isolated efforts to integrated systems. We help you cross the threshold with clarity, confidence, and strategic support.
